External Grant Statistical Consultation Request

Welcome to the internal statistical consultation service at Harris College, provided exclusively for faculty working on external grant proposals. Our service is committed to supporting you from the initial proposal preparation through to the implementation, evaluation, and publication of your funded project. We encourage collaborative engagements between the researcher and the statistical consultant throughout the project lifecycle. Early involvement in the planning stages is especially recommended to ensure the best outcomes for your external grant submissions.

Consultation Scope: Our focus is on providing statistical recommendations and guidance to optimize your research strategies and strengthen your grant proposals. We continue to offer support on research strategies and statistical analysis throughout the funded project's implementation and evaluation phases.

Budget Considerations: Please ensure that the time and effort of the statistical consultation are included in your grant budget to accurately reflect the consultant's contributions throughout the project. The specific amount of time and effort to be budgeted will be discussed and agreed upon during the initial consultations.

Capacity and Support Limitations:

  • Internal Requests: Capacity for internal statistical consultations at Harris College is limited. Availability is based on the order in which requests are received.
  • External Consultation Funding: If internal capacity is reached, limited funding is available for external statistical consultation support. These funds are managed and allocated by the Associate Dean of Research, according to the sequence and merit of requests.

Submission Instructions: Please complete and submit this form to initiate your consultation request. Allow up to one week for us to arrange further consultation tailored to your specific research needs. For urgent requests, please contact Dr. Yan Zhang via yan.zhang@tcu.edu directly.
