You are being asked to voluntarily participate in a research study. We are doing this study to evaluate the effectiveness of screening tools at identifying autism spectrum disorder in children of both sexes. If you agree, we will ask you to complete a brief Qualtrics survey that will not take more than ten minutes. No identifying information will be collected. We will ask for the age of the child, your relation to the child, the child’s sex, the child’s ADOS score, and we will ask you to complete the CAST screening tool. We will not record your name or any information that shows your identity. You will not be signing this form. You should only take part in this study if you want to volunteer. You should not feel that there is any pressure to take part in the study. You are free to participate in this research or withdraw at any time. You may exit the survey at any time, and any incomplete surveys will not be recorded. You will not be paid for being in this study. You will not be contacted again in the future. If you have any questions, please contact Dr. Phil Esposito at p.esposito@tcu.edu or 817-257-6866. By selecting "Agree to participate" on the survey, you are agreeing to be in this study. Make sure you understand what the study is about before you agree. You will be given a copy of this document for your records upon request. If you have any questions about the study after you agree to participate, you can contact the study team using the information provided above.
